The purpose of the privacy policy is to provide maximum transparency regarding the information that www.sei-italy.com collects and how it uses it.
This document constitutes an integral part of the site and has been prepared in compliance with the obligations arising from national (Legislative Decree No. 196 of June 30, 2003, Code on the Protection of Personal Data, as amended) and European (European Regulation for the Protection of Personal Data No. 679/2016, GDPR) legislation.

In particular, this site does not use data for the purpose of sending advertisements, however, it does make use of third-party services in order to improve the use of the site, third parties that may collect user data and then use it to send personalized advertisements on other sites. For example, the site uses social plugins to make it easier to share articles on social networks. Such plugins are configured to send cookies (and thus possibly collect data) only after the user has clicked. For more information, we encourage you to read the full disclosure below.

Legal Basis Of Processing
This site processes data primarily on the basis of user consent. By using or consulting the site, visitors and users agree to this privacy policy and consent to the processing of their personal data in the manner and for the purposes described below, including possible disclosure to third parties if necessary for the provision of a service. Additional consents related to the specific purpose of the service are collected through the communication or service request forms.
The provision of data and therefore consent to the collection and processing of data is optional, the 'User may deny consent, and may revoke at any time a consent already provided (by writing directly to the Data Controller).


Purpose Of Processing
The processing of data collected by the site, in addition to the purposes related, instrumental and necessary for the provision of the service, is aimed at the following purposes:

- Statistics (analysis)
Collection of data and information in an aggregate and anonymous form only in order to verify the proper functioning of the site. None of this information is related to the physical person-User of the site, and does not allow in any way its identification. Consent is not required.

- Security
Collection of data and information in order to protect the security of the site (spam filters, firewalls, virus detection) and Users and to prevent or expose fraud or abuse against the website. The data are automatically recorded and may possibly include personal data (IP address) that could be used, in accordance with relevant laws, in order to block attempts to damage the website itself or to harm other users, or otherwise harmful or criminal activities. Such data is never used for User identification or profiling and is deleted periodically. No consent is required.

Data Collected
This site collects user data in two ways.
(a) Data collected in an automated manner.
During Users' browsing, the following information may be collected and stored in the log files of the site's server (hosting):
- IP address;
- type of browser;
- parameters of the device used to connect to the site;
- name of the internet service provider (ISP);
- date and time of visit;
- visitor's source and exit web page;
- number of clicks, if any.

This data is used for statistical and analytical purposes, in aggregate form only. The IP address is used solely for security purposes and is not cross-referenced with any other data. b) Data provided voluntarily The site may collect other data in the event of voluntary use of services by users, such as communication services (forms for contacts and for promotional information), and will be used solely for the provision of the requested service.
 
Place of processing Data collected from the site are processed at the headquarters of the Data Controller.
Period of data retention The data collected by the site during its operation are kept for the time strictly necessary to carry out the specified activities. Upon expiration, the data will be deleted or anonymized, unless there is no further purpose for its retention. Data (IP address) used for site security purposes (blocking attempts to damage the site) are kept for 60 days.


Transfer of collected data to third parties

Data collected by the site are generally not provided to third parties, except in specific cases: legitimate request by the judicial authority and only in cases provided by law; if it is necessary for the provision of a specific service requested by the User; for the performance of security checks or optimization of the site.
Transfer of data to countries outside the EU This site does not share collected data with services located outside the European Union area.
 

Cookie Policy
This site makes use of the following categories of cookies: a) technical cookies, used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of an electronic communication, to ensure the correct display of the site and navigation within it. In addition, they allow to distinguish between different logged in users in order to provide a requested service to the right user (Login), and for site security reasons. Some of these cookies are deleted when the browser is closed (session cookies), others have a longer lifetime (such as the cookie required to store the user's consent in relation to the use of cookies, which lasts 1 year). No consent is required for these cookies; b) analytics cookies, used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site. They are assimilated to technical cookies if the service is anonymized. c) marketing cookies, used exclusively by third parties other than the owner of this site to collect information about users' browsing behavior, and interests and consumption habits, including for the purpose of providing personalized advertising).
The user can select which cookies to authorize through the appropriate procedure set up in the "Cookie Settings" section, as well as authorize, block or delete (in whole or in part) cookies through the specific functions of their browsing program (so-called browser): however, in the event that all or some of the cookies are disabled, it is possible that the Site may not be consultable or that some services or certain functions of the Site may not be available or may not function properly and/or the user may be forced to change or manually enter certain information or preferences each time they visit the Site.


Security Measures

We process visitor/user data lawfully and fairly, taking appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction of data. The processing is carried out using computer and/or telematic tools, with organizational methods and logics strictly related to the stated purposes. In addition to the Data Controller, in some cases, categories of appointees involved in the organization of the site or external parties (such as third party technical service providers, hosting providers) may have access to the data.

User's rights

Pursuant to the European Regulation 679/2016 (GDPR) and art. 7 of Legislative Decree.30 June 2003, no. 196, the User may, in the manner and within the limits provided by the current legislation, exercise the following rights:
- oppose in whole or in part, for legitimate reasons, the processing of personal data concerning him/her for the purpose of sending advertising or direct sales material or for carrying out market research or commercial communication; - request confirmation of the existence of personal data concerning him/her (right of access); - know their origin; - receive intelligible communication; - receive information about the logic, methods and purposes of processing;
- request the updating, rectification, integration, cancellation, transformation into anonymous form, blocking of data processed in violation of the law, including those no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected;
- in cases of processing based on consent, to receive at the sole cost of any support, his data provided to the holder, in a structured and machine-readable form and in a format commonly used by an electronic device; - the right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority (Privacy Guarantor); - as well as, more generally, to exercise all the rights recognized to him by the current legal provisions.
Requests should be addressed to the Data Controller or the DPO (Data Protection Officer).
